Many of the sentences that you see coming home are being generated by your young reader! Be sure to have them read the sentences to you, and ask them questions about their sentences. Many times there are colored markings and circling on the sentence paper that has meaning. We will continue to enrich our sentences by using adjectives and adverbs.
I have been receiving many reading logs in the past couple of weeks. I am so proud of all the reading that is being done at home! Keep up the good work!
**Spelling this week will be using: List 12
Review Words: tooth day green eat sit
**Saxon Math: Side B of Saxon Math papers are homework, a reinforcement of what we have done in class using Side A. We will also begin taking our timed addition tests in class. These tests are not taken as an addition grade; they are a tool to prepare students for the timed tests that they will be completing in first grade and beyond. Keep up the practice of both addition and subtraction skills at home.
**’EXTENDED DAY’ will begin our study of “Insects.”
** The April poems ‘Clouds’ and ‘Kite’ will be assessed the week of April 22nd.
Let's have a great week!!
