As you have surely noticed, the phonograms are continuing to become more challenging for the children. We do practice phonograms both orally and written in class daily. Even though they are receiving daily practice at school, each student would greatly benefit from practicing both orally and written at home. Thank you for your diligent work with your children!
**For Spalding this week we will be adding the phonograms:
“ei” as in: e- conceit, a- veil, i- forfeit
and “gu” as in: guess
**For Spelling this week we will be using, ‘List 5.’
Review words: little can we see my
**Our math focus this week will again mostly be on addition and subtraction. We will also be introducing the concept of measurement.
**’EXTENDED DAY’ will be studying ‘Presidents’ Day!’
**This month students may choose between two poems: Valentine’s Poem or
Abraham Lincoln. Poems will be assessed the week of Feb. 25th.
**Valentine’s Day Party!!!
Our party will begin at 11:00am.
Please do not send Valentine cards into the classroom until the party day (Feb. 15).

We are STILL in need Clorox wipes (to clean desks) for our classroom.
We use this item EVERY DAY to keep germs out of our classroom and little bodies healthy!
